What is the Seal of Excellence (SoE)?

• Awarded by the European Commission to EDIH proposals that exceeded the evaluation thresholds in the restricted European call but could not be funded due to budget limitations.
• Seal of Excellence projects funded by Member States are full members of the EDIH network.

In Italy:

• 17 projects awarded Seal of Excellence in the first restricted call.
• 7 additional projects recognized in the second restricted call.

Italian SoEs receive financing under agreements with the Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy (MIMIT).

• Funding aligned with the PNRR initiative for technological transfer centers (Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 2.3).
• Total investment: €114.5 million for 24 SoEs.
